A Very Long Time

Well, it's been a very long time since I have updated our blog...mainly because I have been putting more stuff on Facebook now. However, I want to continue to post updates here as I have time for those who do not have facebook. However, my spare time will be ending in less than 8 months when our baby is due...yes, I'm pregnant again!! We are very excited! So, I hope to use my time very wisely for the next 8 months. :)

Picture of Daddy and Grant (January 09)

Grant was given a car for his birthday and absolutely loves riding in it. He loves being outside more than any kid I've ever seen. He begs to go outside! He stands at the door and messes with the door knob in hopes to get out on his own. When he does get to go outside, he gets SO mad when it's time to come in. I think I will be spending a lot of time outdoors this summer.

Mommy and Abigail...Superbowl 2009...I know the Colts weren't in it, but we wore our shirts anyway. :)

Grant 13 months

Superbowl again...A Colt's Family! We do like the Colt's, but I wouldn't say we're huge fans. It just so happens that we were in Indiana the February after they won the Superbowl in 2007. The shirts were everywhere...these came from Wal-Mart. I got the kids jersey's real cheap on Ebay.

October and November

Colt's Fans

Grant loves to play with things that aren't his...weights...

and especially shoes!!

He takes them off the rack and Abigail puts them back.

Eric and his deer.

Grant was very tired...and fell asleep.

I came in the room to check on him because he was being so quiet, and he was asleep in his jumper. I think he must have wore himself out with all the jumping. :)

Abigail washing the basketball goal.

She hit this one.

Batter up!

Helping Daddy with target practice.

September Pictures

Abigail gets ready to play ball...she's got to get her shirt tucked in first. :)

I think that was a strike, I can't remember, but she can hit pretty good.

This reminded me of cousin Katie when she was young and played soccer.

Grant really loves bathtime.

And food time, but since this picture we have found out that he is allergic to tomatoes, eggs, dairy, and peanuts. I think mainly the eggs and dairy were causing the ongoing eczema.

A VERY HAPPY BOY!!

The End of August...

Grant loves to go outside. He also loves to stand at the door and look outside,
even if no one is out there.

Abigail...she's a funny girl. One day she loves helping me cook in the kitchen...

and the next...she's ready to go hunting with Daddy.
She doesn't really go hunting yet, but they pretend they are going when Eric goes outside to practice shooting or takes her out on the four-wheeler.
This pose is funny because not only does she NOT like posing for pictures,
but I didn't even ask her to do this.
I said, "let me take a picture of you in your camos."
Surprisingly, she agreed and struck this pose.

Suzy Homemaker

I've got to post this because I was just so excited about it and some of my friends were not able to see the pictures that I sent them via email.
I am not a sewer. I've tried to learn in the past, but I just don't have time to practice.
So this is my story about sewing...

I recently decided to redecorate my bedroom...wanted to since we moved in last October. I also wanted to do it cheaply. I found everything I wanted for a good price, except for curtains. I just think they are outrageously priced. I remembered my mom had some made out of sheets when I was younger, but I didn't know how to sew. Then I remembered my cousin made her curtains with something called liquid stitch because she doesn't sew either. I already had some of that because I bought it a couple of years ago thinking I might use it. So I went to Wal-Mart and found some twin sheets on clearance for $4.00!! I looked at the dimensions, and it was just what I needed to make two panels. I wouldn't have a lot of excess! I took them home...washed and ironed them...cut just a little off of the bottom...cut them up the middle to make two panels...used my liquid stitch for a small hem at the bottom and on the side...and hung them!! My hems are at the bottom and on the outer sides, so they are hidden. :) I was so pleased with them. The best part was they were only $2.00 a panel, for a total of $8.00!!!! That's only 10% of what I would have paid for them! I promised some friends who tried to view them and couldn't that I would post the pictures on the blog. Here they are...

LEARNING TO CRAWL

Here's Grant before he learned to crawl.
He would just get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth.
Maybe I can get a video of him crawling soon...I think he started in the middle of August.
